Why I became an SPO Missionary

At the beginning of my time in college, I experienced what it’s like to feel as though a life of prayer, freedom, virtue, and ultimately, a life with God, can seem out of reach. Whether it was walls of shame, lies from the world, or simply not being exposed to Christ-centered community, I once believed the lie that living for God in college isn’t attainable. But I am convicted that that’s exactly what the world and the enemy want us to believe. But through deep relationship with Jesus and Christ-centered community, I have come to know that living a life rooted in the Lord is attainable. And not only is it attainable, but it is full of freedom, healing, and deep, lasting joy. God has swelled my heart with love for women on college campuses who are longing for more, who don’t even realize yet that Jesus is already at the door of their hearts, waiting with mercy in His eyes. He’s ready to heal, to restore, to pour love into the places they’ve kept hidden, and to provide them with friendships that lead them closer to His heart. I desire to help women open that door, to see Him and to know Him. Because a relationship with Jesus, and with His people, is the greatest gift and it is attainable.
