Why I became an SPO Missionary

As my life began to transform in college, the thought of becoming a missionary went from being the worst option to the only option. I knew that I couldn't just learn how to be a missionary for the duration of a program - I needed to be equipped for the rest of my life. Around the same time I was considering this call, I heard of SPO through some friends and their experiences in college. As I began to learn more, I saw that SPO's vision and charisms lined up with much of my own personal encounters with God and community. Saying yes to life as a full-time missionary was a huge risk. But after considering the lives that I knew could be impacted by the Gospel (including my own) - I knew it had to be worth it.
